  2. i love favorites. growing up we in a large family we each had very specific preferences and loved to rank things. on a good day-christmas gifts, rome landmarks and meals. on a bad day-siblings. so! i was very excited to do a surprise birthday party of favorites. this game night combined everything the birthday girl loves! i wish we had more photos of all the cool photos i used of her childhood!

  3. I almost sent myself an invitation to the dinner I was invited to last night. Suzanne Goin, Giada Delaurentiis, Alice Waters, Nancy Silvteron, April Bloomfield & Sherry Yard cooked dinner for 18 of us while we lounged in a cozy living room with snow falling outside (thanks to Annie). I spent the night before the dinner decorating the hosts home. I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun working. I made headdresses and neckpieces for all the art around the house out of my leftover greens until midnight. The party was beautiful. Thank you Judith!

  5. India’s first Thanksgiving (2011) was pretty dull food wise as she was subsiding on a liquid diet. Her second Thanksgiving was spent devouring her Aunt Annie’s turkey three ways. I think my traditional stuffing will pale in comparion to the fennel sausage, kale & squash sourdough stuffing we ate at Annie’s that night. I suppose we will have to go back every year so that India believes this is how everyone eats on Thanksgiving. I tried not to let it hurt my feelings that she was more excited about the food than my wishbone themed décor……

  6. this shower (thrown last spring....i'm a bit behind on my posts) was really the most fun i've had planning a party. there was so much of everything. so many of these perfect floppy roses, so many ribbons for a garland i made and so many tissue poofs! i couldn't stop once i started and i think i ended up making over 100. the food was so beautiful it actually looked a bit fake. annie outdid herself with earl grey cookies, deviled quail eggs and watermelon radish & chive tea sandwiches. check out the entire menu on her apresfete.
also! follow me on instagram @amyanneblessing. thank you!

  7. it's a bit sad i haven't written about this party yet. it was the most fun and the most beautiful to date. i chose a few shots here, however, the little movie my husband made (below) shows the feeling of the evening. go check out annie's post at apresfete.

  8. annie and i had the pleasure of planning this birthday celebration last spring. the party was inspired by a trip to africa taken by the birthday boy and his family. there is so much to say about this party but i will let this little movie do the talking!
